Only with qualified and competent staff can BTC meet its objectives. The training and coaching of staff members is therefore a strategic priority if BTC wants to become an international centre of expertise.
The training service of BTC is responsible to provide a tailor-made training offer that responds to the expectations and needs of BTC staff members and the organisation as a whole.
However, the training policy goes further than the simple provision of training to prepare staff member for their current tasks. In consultation with his/her supervisor, each staff member works out an individual development plan that ensures maximum exploitation of capacities present, the stimulation of personal development and a long-term career planning.
BTC allocates a personal training budget to each staff member as well as credit hours for training.
When new employees are hired, they are briefed in detail at headquarters to get to know the organisation. Every year summer seminars are held in Brussels, which offers further training to our colleagues in the field.
