The Environment & Development – A view of 30 development projects

This thematic BTC publication focuses on 30 Belgian development projects. The specific focus is on environmental aspects and the way that projects take these into account.

The projects are thematically presented in seven chapters: Environmental policy, agriculture, natural resources, education, water, sanitation and energy.

Chapter 1 deals with environmental priorities at the international, European and Belgian level.

How should environmental issues be systematically embedded in policy? Will there ever be a world environmental organisation? What does Europe’s environmental policy look like? And Belgium’s? BTC as a forerunner for the environment.

With contributions and interviews of Arnaud Zacharie, secretary general of CNCD-11.11.11, professor Jean-Pascal van Ypersele, climatologist at UCL, and BTC’s environmental expert Claude Croizer.
