Brochure | The Palestinian Territory - Belgium Partnership
The cooperation programme between the Palestinian Territory and Belgium aims to support the Palestinian Reform and Development Plan (PRDP). In line with Aid effectiveness commitments, the Belgian 2008-2011 bilateral programme concentrates on two priority sectors (Education and Local Governance), with an overall budget that amounts to 50 million euro.
Education
Belgian cooperation focuses on three components of this programme: school construction, e-learning and support for technical and vocational education.
Local governance
Belgium supports the Municipal Development and Local Governance sector since about a decade. Currently the Palestinian Authority is reforming the sector and Belgium intends to support the new strategic plan by a 5 year programme starting in 2011.
